Meet Owner/Head Trainer, Kayla ReillyHi! I’m Kayla, owner and head trainer of Everywhere Dog. Thank you for stopping by our website! My mission as a family dog trainer is to provide training tools and knowledge to allow you to communicate most effectively with your dog and get the results that your entire family needs!
My training experience began at a young age, when I got my first dog, and later, rabbits. Reading books and doing my own (internet-less) research allowed me to train my dog, and litter and trick train my rabbits (yes, it is possible! Ask me how!). My interest in training never died, but took a pause while I studied for a Psychology and Organizational Communication degree at LaSalle University, and picked up midway through my Masters program at Purdue University. In 2015, I found balanced training while looking for alternative training method for my sweet but ultra-stubborn and high energy Boxer, Lainey. While our traditional chain-store training helped get the basics down, I knew that in order to have a dog that would listen to me in the distracting situations where it counted the most, we needed to kick it up a notch. Balanced training was just what we needed! Shortly after starting with balanced training, Lainey was off-leash trained, no longer jumping over the couch, and learned how to be calm in and out of the house. It was amazing! Working with Lainey was something that I loved so much, that it became clear to me that so many people could benefit greatly from what I had learned while working with her, and so many dogs can benefit from the inclusion that good training can bring! After working with hundreds of families and their dogs, this benefit is clearer (and more achievable) than ever.

Training Methodology
Everywhere Dog uses a balanced approach to train our dogs: a combination of positive reinforcement and fair, appropriate corrections. The tools selected are dependent on the dog and the goals of the family, but most of our clients excel with prong collar and/or e-collar training! (Visit our FAQ and Facebook pages to learn more!) While some dogs may respond well to positive reinforcement, solely, many dogs find the prospect of food-based rewards overly exciting, making it difficult for them to retain a calm, centered state of mind.
Using proper tools and consistency, your dog can be trained to be trusted off-leash, will be able to maintain a relaxed calm "place" command for hours, and will come when called the first time, every time.
